Which Tab Contains The Text Box Tool?

In this article, we are going to tell which tab contains the text box tool. When we open the Microsoft PowerPoint from the start button or from the icons if available on the desktop. Then we see that a blank slide is open with two types of text boxes.

  1. Title Text Box
  2. Subtitle Text Box

These two text boxes appear as a default in Microsoft PowerPoint. If you want to delete them then simply select both with the help of Ctrl+A then both text boxes will be selected then press the delete bottom then both will disappear from the slide.

As we can see the blank slide after selecting the default text box in Microsoft PowerPoint.


Our main focus is to find out the text box tool in Microsoft PowerPoint. There are two tabs in which the text box tool is available in PowerPoint.

  1. Home Tab
  2. Insert Tab

Home Tab

Go to the Home tab > Drawing Group > There will be a Text tool as a highlight as we can see in the following screenshot.

After selecting the text box tool from the home tab we will notice that our cursor will change into the line with arrowhead and you will the arrowhead on the downside.

Then simply click and drag the text box where you want to insert the text box in Microsoft PowerPoint. Finally, you will see the text box will be inserted and the cursor will blink there and it will ask you to type the text which you want to insert in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Insert Tab

In the Insert tab, we will see the text box tool in the Text Group in PowerPoint. As you can see in the following screenshot.


In this way, we can find out the text box tool in the Home tab as well as in the insert tab in Microsoft PowerPoint.
