In this article, we are going to learn how we can underline our text in PowerPoint. As we know that adding underline makes our text more attractive and clean. In other words we can say that underlining text make more meaningful within the document.
If you want to underline text then first of all you have to insert text either you can go with text that you have in your PowerPoint presentation that you have in your computer.
In this article, we are going with simple text if you have a paragraph then you can select simply that text to which you have to underline selected text.
Let's Get Started:
First of all you have to open Microsoft PowerPoint. As we can see a blank page/slide in PowerPoint document.
Then you have to insert the text box then type text. For inserting text box go to the Insert tab > Text Group. In Text Group we can see the text box and Word-Art.
If you will select the simple text then you have to type text in it. As you can see in the following screenshot.
Then type text into the text box. If you will select the Word-Art then your sample text is inserted in Word-Art. As you can see in the following screenshot.
As we can see that our text is already inserted in the word-art in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Now our main purpose is start to underline text in PowerPoint to underline text we have to select the text.
Then in the home tab in the text group there is a sign U then move your cursor to it then you will see that it show the underline text.
If you will click on this underline then your selected text will be converted to underline with your text as you can see in the following screenshot.
As we can see that our text is underline. Also there is a shortcut key for underline text in Microsoft PowerPoint. That is Ctrl+U then if your text is underline then will converted into without underline. If your text is without under line then you will press Ctrl+U then it will convert into underline text in Microsoft PowerPoint.
